My Dog |
by Kane X. Faucher
My dog ate my homework, ma'am
And all my better reasons, too.
He is defecating sums
And spotting the park with fractions.
He thinks with his mouth.
He thinks with his bum.
At every pole and tree,
he sniffs the work of his contemporaries
and he corrects their sums.
There are laws concerning picking up
After one's homework.
In future I do promise
To let my dog come and think in class.
